| ABOUT THE NAME and just what is an Insolent Lad? Stephen Brooke has been using the Insolent Lad name for several years, as a nom de internet, as an on-again-off-again folk-punk band, as a catch-all for his various creative endeavors. Now, in keeping with our long usage of the concept, Insolent Lad Media has been chosen as an over-all business name. Incidentally, the origin of Insolent Lad has no relationship to Janis Ian's Rude Girl. We admire Ms Ian as an artist and writer but were unaware of the similarities when we first came up with the Insolent Lad name. |
